DULUTH, MN – James Thompson, senior vice president of State Farm Insurance, will speak at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, in Somers Lounge at The College of St. Scholastica.

His appearance is part of the 27th annual Minnesota Dialogue breakfast series at the College.  Minnesota Dialogue brings key leaders of Midwest business to Duluth. Over breakfast, they describe the strategies and vision that have brought them success. They discuss their companies’ roles in our region and plans for the future.  Each breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m.

As senior vice president, Thompson is responsible for the Midwest operations of State Farm Insurance, one of the world’s largest financial institutions.  State Farm has 79,200 employees and is America’s largest insurer of homes and cars.  State Farm insures 28 million households and has 73 million policies in force.
